The sounds of marching feet (more than 2,000 pairs of them!) and the oohs and ahhs of architectural marvel could be heard around Cambridge this Sunday, as walkers descended on the city to take part in the Bridge the Gap walk in aid of Arthur Rank Hospice Charity and Romsey Mill.
Following a route around Downing, Corpus Christi, St Catharine’s, St John’s, Jesus, Christ’s and Emmanuel colleges, our Directors Mark and Guy, along with their families, followed in the footsteps of some of the world’s greatest achievers to learn more about the city’s educational history and raise funds for two vital local causes.
Passionate about Cambridge’s technology industry, and proud to support many Cambridge University student-led engineering projects including solar powered cars, rockets and under water vehicles, it was great to get out of the PCB manufacturing sphere for the day and see just where students spend their time.
Wowed by the stunning architecture and grounds, it’s fantastic that so many colleges open their doors to allow visitors in to raise funds for those in great need.
Everything looked immaculate and it was easy for us to see the parallels between the hard work and painstaking attention to detail shown by all the colleges to our own business ethos of creating high quality cutting edge PCBs.
The day was a triumph for all the charities, colleges and participants – well done to all the staff and volunteers who worked so hard to make it such a success.
